Biography
David joined Sun Coast Partners in early 2023 to focus on land-development deals in the fast-growing corridors of Brunswick County.
Since joining Sun Coast Partners, David has handled and closed a significant number of land deals for a variety of uses, including anchor-center-retail, single-tenant-retail, multi-tenant-retail, NNN-retail deals, flex sites, mixed-use sites, and residential development tracts. In addition to brokerage, David is the principal for South Brunswick Development, where he focuses on the rezoning and entitlement processes for his clients in Brunswick County.
Prior to real estate, David worked extensively in the produce business and in the development of recreation/sporting properties. He is the former owner of Summerlin Farms & Produce, a multi-award-winning business in Brunswick County. He also spent 10 years as right-hand man to A.G. Floyd, developing and managing some of the finest waterfowl properties in Hyde County, NC. He then went on to work as a waterfowl hunting guide in central North Dakota.
David is a North Carolina native, born in Washington, NC, and he grew up in Louisburg, NC. David went to much of grade school in Raleigh, and after graduating from Broughton High School, he went on to attend Louisburg College and Campbell University.
David, his wife and children live in southern Brunswick County, where they love spending as much time around the water as possible. They are active members of Camp United Methodist Church in Shallotte. They love to travel. They also spend much of the winter duck hunting in Currituck County, carrying on a multi-generation family tradition.
