Biography
David joined Sun Coast Partners in early 2023 to focus on land development deals in the fast-growing corridors of Brunswick County. He specializes in long-term client representation for these complex transactions.
Since joining Sun Coast Partners, David has handled a significant number of land deals for a variety of uses, including anchored-center-retail, single-tenant-retail, multi-tenant-retail, NNN-retail deals, flex sites, mixed-use sites and residential development tracts. David is also the principal for South Brunswick Development, where he focuses on rezoning and entitlements for land development projects.
Prior to real estate, David worked extensively in the produce business and in the development of recreation/sporting properties. He is the former owner of Summerlin Farms & Produce, a multi-award-winning business in Brunswick County. He also spent 10 years in Hyde County as right-hand man to A.G. Floyd, developing and managing some of the finest waterfowl properties around Lake Mattamuskeet.
David is a North Carolina native, born in Washington, NC, and he grew up in Louisburg, NC. David went to much of grade school in Raleigh, and after graduating from Broughton High School, he went on to attend Louisburg College and Campbell University. He is an active member of Camp United Methodist Church in Shallotte and currently serves on the Board of Directors at The Hill School of Wilmington. He is also a member of the International Council of Shopping Centers (ICSC).
David and his family live in southern Brunswick County, where they are well-known and are active members of the community. They love to travel, especially on the coast and in the mountains of NC, and they spend much of the winter duck hunting on the Currituck Sound, carrying on a long-time family tradition.
